Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology included three divisions: obstetrics, gynecology, and infertility & endocrinology. Our department currently has 10 specialist doctors, 6 technicians, 2 consultants, and 3 resident doctors. For its teaching, there were 1 professor, 2 lecturers, with all impressive groups of experts.

Division of Obstetrics

This division had introduced Labor-Deliver-Recovery Room recently, and this provides friendly delivery environment. Besides, we can provide amniocentesis, karyotyping, level 2 and 4D prenatal ultrasound scanning, and first-trimester Down syndrome screening. We can give you a detailed prenatal examination and good perinatal and postnatal care.

Division of Gynecology

This division can provide diagnosis and treatment (including medical treatment, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy) for gynecologic benign tumor and malignancy, such as endometriosis, ovarian cyst, uterine myoma, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, and vulvar cancer, etc. Besides, we also specialized in laparoscopic surgery for gynecologic tumor, hysteroscopic surgery for uterine mass or polyp, minimally invasive surgery for urinary incontinence.
This division has introduced urodynamic machine recently, and this can provide detailed evaluation of lower urinary tract symptoms (i.e., urinary incontinence, urgency, frequency, nocturia, and voiding difficulty) of female patients.

Division of Infertility and Endocrinology

The division of Infertility and Endocrinology of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital was established in 1987, and hundreds of in-vitro fertilization babies have been born since then. We developed many facilities, and bought new equipments like embryo slow freezing machine, intracytoplasmic sperm injection machine and laser assisted hatching machine. Our lab room also provides the training of both technician and doctor after passing the evaluation of IVF institute in Taiwan.
